Silvio Rodriguez is one of the voices from La Nueva Trova, a Cuban music and artistic movement back in the decade of 1960 and 1970 tied to the beginning of the Cuban revolution. He has been creating consistently since then and his music and poetic lyrics awarded him with a relevant place among the hispanic letters. With the recent death of the other great voice from La Nueva Trova, Pablo Milanes, Cuban musicians and artists suffered a big loss. The mass is a song to remember that passed time and the spirit of an entire generation since it not only represents the movement itself but the recent history of Cuban and Latin American.
